The Wainstones Hotel
Overview
360fusion worked closely with The Wainstones Hotel to produce a website that illustrates what the hotel has to offer. The Wainstones Hotel is a Silver Award winning three-star hotel that has the atmosphere of a Yorkshire Country Inn, and that aims to provide all of its guests with a warm welcome and a memorable stay.
The Brief
The objective was to create a website that incorporated news and events, as well as a virtual tour that would allow visitors to explore the hotel’s rooms, much like that found on a restaurant website. Also planned was a special offers system. There would also be social media links that would allow The Wainstones Hotel to be ‘added’ or ‘followed’, in addition to a staff catalogue and link catalogue.
The website would also feature online menus which could be printed and saved as a PDF file. The PDF would be generated from a database, meaning that there would be no need to upload or create any PDF files. This feature would allow the hotel the convenience of uploading its menus onto its website for people to download, rather than having to post them out each Christmas.
Web Results
The virtual tour on Wainstoneshotel.co.uk allows people to view the rooms, bar and restaurant, while options also exist on the homepage to sign up for an email newsletter, to ‘add and follow’ The Wainstones Hotel on social media websites and to view all special offers, menus and even wedding packages.
The revamped website gives The Wainstones Hotel a full system for managing the information on their website, including events and news. There is a section that allows the hotel to show off special offers, with a special section that allows staff to enter details about the time and nature of the special offer so that it appears instantly on their website alongside a random quote.
The site also has a ‘Find us’ section that allows visitors to find the quickest route to the hotel from their home simply by entering their town or postcode.
